Creatorwood Terms of Service

Welcome to Creatorwood! Creatorwood is an AI-powered storytelling and filmmaking platform where authors, screenwriters, and storytellers can transform written stories into engaging movies and shows and sell them directly to their audiences.

By accessing or using creatorwood.tv and affiliated domains (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Use of Creatorwood is also subject to our Content & Community Guidelines and our Privacy Policy, which explain our content standards, how we collect and use your data, and your rights.

By using Creatorwood, you confirm that:

  • You are legally allowed to use the Platform.
  • You have provided accurate account information.
  • Your legal name may be associated with any payment methods used on the Platform.

1. Definitions

  • Content – Any material uploaded to Creatorwood, including text, scripts, images, audio, video, comments, and metadata.
  • Creator – A user who uploads stories, scripts, or films to the Platform, uses the Movie Machine, or sells content to viewers.
  • Viewer – A user who watches or purchases content from Creators.
  • User – Anyone using Creatorwood (either as a Creator or Viewer).

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Creatorwood. If under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
  • You may not use Creatorwood if prohibited by law in your country, if you are on any sanctions list, or if you have been convicted of offenses involving exploitation, fraud, or harassment.

3. Viewer Use

Following Creators

Following a Creator is free and lets you receive updates about their work. Creators receive your email if you follow them (subject to your communication preferences).

Purchasing Content

  • Content is priced in coins (1 coin = $0.10 USD).
  • Prices are set by the Creator.
  • Purchased content remains in your Creatorwood library for ongoing access.

Refunds & Disputes

  • Coins are refundable within 30 days if unused.
  • Once Coins are used to unlock content, the purchase is final.
  • Refund requests for purchased content should be made directly to the Creator, who may issue refunds at their discretion.

4. Creator Use

Ownership of Content

Creators retain full ownership of all original works they upload to Creatorwood, provided they hold the necessary rights.

Limited License to Creatorwood

By uploading content, you grant Creatorwood a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. This license ends when you remove your content, except where retention is required by law or for record-keeping.

Rights You Must Have

You must own or have legal rights to all content you upload. This includes ensuring that any AI-generated elements do not infringe on others' rights.

5. Payments & Fees

For Creators

  • You earn 80% of viewer payments for your content.
  • Payouts are processed through Stripe Express and may be subject to processing and banking fees.
  • Minimum payout threshold is $50.

For Viewers

  • All purchases are in coins.
  • Any applicable sales tax or VAT will be charged at checkout.

6. Use of the Movie Machine

  • Story ingestion, shot generation, and other AI processing incur fees as shown before you confirm each action.
  • Fees are non-refundable once processing is complete, except in cases of technical errors confirmed by Creatorwood.

7. Prohibited Content & Activities

You may not use Creatorwood to:

  • Upload content that violates copyright or other intellectual property laws.
  • Create explicit sexual content, extreme gore, or prohibited political content (per AI model partner restrictions).
  • Engage in harassment, hate speech, scams, or illegal activity.
  • Attempt to hack, scrape, or otherwise gain unauthorized access to the Platform.

8. Refunds & Chargebacks

  • Chargebacks on legitimate transactions are considered fraudulent and may result in account suspension or legal action.
  • If you experience an issue, contact the Creator or Creatorwood Support at hello@creatorwood.tv before filing a dispute with your payment provider.

9. Content Use for Platform Improvement

At Creatorwood, we are committed to improving the tools and experience we provide to our users. To do this, we may use content you upload, including scripts, books, films, and related materials to enhance our AI models, refine features, and improve overall platform performance.

We will never:

  • Redistribute your original work in its raw, complete form.

  • Sell or license your original content outside of Creatorwood without your permission.

We may:

  • Use your content as part of internal training, testing, and quality control to improve AI accuracy, visual consistency, and generation capabilities.

  • Derive non-identifiable patterns, learnings, or model improvements from your content to benefit the Creatorwood community.

You retain full ownership of your original works, and these improvements will not transfer or diminish your rights.

If you prefer not to have your content used for model improvement, you may contact hello@creatorwood.tv to request an opt-out. Opting out will not affect your ability to use Creatorwood's core services.

10. Platform Role

Creatorwood is a neutral platform that facilitates direct relationships between Creators and Viewers. We do not:

  • Guarantee delivery of Creator promises.
  • Mediate disputes between Creators and Viewers.
  • Hold Creator earnings in escrow.

However, we reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts in cases of fraud, abuse, or repeated policy violations.

11. VIP Production Service

Creatorwood offers an optional, premium VIP Production Service ("VIP Service") for Creators who want their films professionally produced by AI Directors working with the Movie Machine. By purchasing or participating in the VIP Service, you agree to the additional terms in this section.

11.1 Scope of the VIP Service

The VIP Service is a done-for-you production offering in which AI Directors use the Movie machine create a film based on your submitted story, script, or materials. The service includes:

  • Full production from story processing to final delivery

  • AI-assisted film generation using Creatorwood's Movie Machine

  • One round of revisions

  • Delivery of a final film in the agreed format and resolution

Any deliverables, timelines, or add-ons outside this scope require a separate written agreement.

11.2 Pricing & Payment Terms

The VIP Service uses a simple flat-rate pricing model based on per finished minute of film. Prices may vary depending on the specific AI Director you are working with.

All payments are non-refundable except as required by law or where explicitly stated in these Terms.

11.3 Creator Responsibilities

To participate in the VIP Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete story materials

  • Confirm you own or control all rights needed to adapt your work into a film

  • Respond to production team requests in a timely manner

  • Review drafts, cuts, or revisions within the requested time window

Delays caused by missing materials or late approvals may extend production timelines.

11.4 Rights & Ownership

Unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement:

  • You retain 100% ownership of your underlying story, script, and final film.

  • Creatorwood does not claim ownership over your work.

  • You grant Creatorwood a limited license to use your materials solely for producing your VIP project and improving internal production workflows.

  • Creatorwood will never distribute, sell, or publish your VIP film without your permission.

11.5 Revisions

The VIP Service includes one round of revisions ("Included Revisions").

Additional edits, rewrites, style changes, retakes, or reprocessing outside the Included Revisions may incur additional fees.

11.6 Production Timelines

Creatorwood aims to deliver VIP projects within the estimated timeline provided at onboarding. However, you acknowledge that:

  • Timelines are estimates, not guarantees

  • Delays may occur due to production complexity, technical issues, or your response times

  • Creatorwood is not liable for missed deadlines unless stated in a separate signed agreement

11.7 Technical Limitations

VIP films are produced using advanced AI tools and are subject to current technological constraints. You acknowledge that:

  • Output quality and style may vary

  • AI models may evolve over time, which can change results

  • Some scenes, characters, likenesses, or concepts may require modification for feasibility

Creatorwood will communicate any constraints that may affect the final product.

11.8 Hold Harmless & Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify Creatorwood, its staff, and contractors from any claims arising out of:

  • Your story or materials

  • Copyright issues due to content you provided

  • Business or financial losses associated with your film

  • Misinterpretation of creative direction

  • Viewer, publisher, or distributor reactions to your film

Creatorwood's maximum liability for VIP Services will not exceed the total fees you paid for that specific VIP project.

11.9 No Guarantees of Performance

The VIP Service does not guarantee:

  • Commercial success, sales performance, audience reception, or distribution deals

  • Approval from publishers, agents, investors, or platforms

  • Any specific creative outcome beyond what is reasonably achievable within the agreed production scope

11.10 Termination of a VIP Project

Creatorwood may pause or terminate a VIP project if:

  • You fail to provide required materials

  • Payments are overdue

  • You violate these Terms

  • You engage in abusive or inappropriate behavior toward staff

If a project is terminated due to your actions, deposits and payments made to date are non-refundable.

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice for:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Creatorwood, its affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from your use of the Platform, your content, or your conduct.

14. Warranty Disclaimer

Creatorwood is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you will not exceed the amount we have earned from your use of Creatorwood in the past 12 months.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of California. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of California, unless otherwise required by law.
